Let’s start with the obvious. The piano isn’t just any instrument—it’s the instrument. With over 10,000 moving parts and an endless range of musical expression, each piano is a world of its own. Getting to unlock that world, one note at a time, is a joy! Every piano is different, and every day brings something new. It’s never boring.
The Tools 
There’s something deeply satisfying about working with our hands—especially when we’re surrounded by beautiful tools. As piano technicians, we use finely crafted instruments made of steel, wood, brass, leather, and felt. For those of us who love tools, textures, and craftsmanship, this work is a dream. From tuning hammers to regulation tools and specialty lubricants, each tool allows us to bring greater life, responsiveness, and precision to the pianos we care for.
