Tom has thirty years of experience in furniture manufacturing, restoration, refinishing and repair. He is a master at taking a piece deemed unsalvageable and restoring it to its original beauty. He achieves this by using traditional woodworking hand construction techniques, and a keen ability to create magical mixes of colors to give the wood a beautiful finish. It is quite often impossible to discern where the damage occurred on the piece. At Artisan, Tom uses his knowledge and experience to beautifully restored pianos that were considered nearly irreparable. Tom loves working with the team and collaborating on difficult projects. When he is not working at Artisan, he enjoys playing drums and bass, kayaking, camping, reading, watching classic movies and TV shows, and spending time with his family and friends.
