We are looking for field technicians for both our Portland, OR and Seattle, WA locations.
We at Artisan Piano Services are looking for technicians that simply love working on pianos, get their enjoyment out of servicing pianos, and helping customers rather than running a business. With the ongoing training, team atmosphere, and support of the company our technicians are free to do incredible work and not be distracted by normal business ownership responsibilities.
As a field technician for Artisan Piano Services, you will be scheduled to perform 4 service calls per day. These service calls will be anything from evaluations, repairs, and of course tunings. To qualify as a full-time field technician for Artisan Piano Services you must possess the following skills:
- Ability to do a good tuning in 1.5 hours or less.
- Ability to perform most in home piano repairs and maintenance.
- Work well with other team members
- Have a good driving record
- Have a teachable and humble spirit
- Give great customer service
If you lack the necessary piano skills to qualify as an Artisan Piano Services field technician, that is ok – we can help! We work with all our technicians to get them field ready by giving them the necessary training, tools, and support to make them successful.

Joshua, native of Bellevue, WA, comes to Artisan with a wide array of skills and technical abilities, having been trained by some of the same Pacific Northwest’s industry leading technicians as David (owner). Joshua has shown himself to be a true asset to our team with his love of pianos and working with people. He has always loved the piano because it blends music and mechanics in such a unique way. Joshua and his wife Amanda are true Pacific Northwest outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy a wide array of outdoor activities including hiking, fishing, and biking.
